Several members of the Shib Army are at the forefront in the world of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) with their latest appearance at the New York City NFT event (NFT.NYC).
Gracing the occasion were our Shib frens TFW, AIRian, Shib CoOp, and ShibaPunkz, showcasing the growing influence of the SHIB community in the NFT space.
The NFT.NYC 2024 event, held in NYC on April 3-5 at the Javits Center, is a landmark in the digital art world that showcases the transformative power of NFTs. The event brought together artists, investors, and enthusiasts, fostering a vibrant community around blockchain-based art. It highlighted the potential of NFTs in democratizing art ownership and creating new avenues for artists.
The event also addressed challenges such as copyright issues and environmental concerns. NFT.NYC 2024, with its blend of creativity and technology, marked a significant step toward the future of art in the digital age.
We interviewed TFW, Shib CoOp, and ShibaPunkz about their experience at the event.
TFW, short for Tutti Frutti Women, has been a standout project within the SHIB ecosystem since its expansion to Shibarium in January 2024.
Andreia, the creator of TFW, expressed pride in the project's selection for NFT.NYC and told the The Shib magazine team, "So they selected Tutti Frutti Women to be featured during the NFT.NYC, in the Rooftop Artists Village gallery, and the VIPs and speakers got a preview at VIP & Speaker Reception before the event."
Moreover, NFT.NYC further amplified TFW's exposure by producing postcards featuring their NFTs for Christmas and distributing tickets for general admission. The recognition not only validates the efforts of the TFW community but also solidifies SHIB's presence in the broader NFT landscape.
“NFT.NYC also made postcards for Christmas with our NFT and tickets for general admission,” Andreia told us.
Shib CoOp’s CryptoQueen also shared her experience with us, stating, “NFTs are definitely alive and well in 2024! Participants were more engaged during this year’s event than last (according to attendees).”
“Web3 music NFTs and performances were a highlight of the event. The tokenization of real-world assets was a major theme predicting the future success of NFTs.”
She further elaborated, “If you have the opportunity to attend one of these conferences, even by yourself, it’s well worth it, as everyone is there to meet and connect with like-minded individuals and learn more about the future of NFTs.”
Arcturus, a member of ShibaPunkz, attended the event and shared his enriching experience with us. Precisely, he networked, discovered utilities like MINTangible and Gaudiy, and was inspired by AI-generated artwork.
“I had a lot of fun meeting NFT artists,” Arcturus told The Shib.
“Additionally, I spent my time networking and looking for utilities.”

Take a moment for this. It's only 500 words. Maybe for some frens, it’s 500 of all that I said and will say. For me, it's 500 opportunities to raise your voices all together.
One of the things I saw in my soul besides a cat sleeping peacefully is that DeFi is not just cryptocurrency. Perhaps it is possible that many of us have gone deeper, thanks to the hope of a more economically-free life and perhaps also the lambo.
Lambo is left behind when you zoom out and realize that beyond the charts, prices, bears and bulls, there is something that vibrates.
There's something throbbing.
I'm absolutely nobody, but I pretend to be myself. And me being in DeFi means feeling part of that heartbeat – that heartbeat we call the ecosystem.
And when you get away from the point that makes us crypto investors and you realize this is something that goes beyond that, that's when you connect. Not just with the community… ours.
You and I connect on a deeper level in which we are no one's enemies, where we don't even argue or fight although diversity of opinions is needed, which is what makes the Shib Army immense.
And you realize, in an ecosystem, there are pioneers. People who do things.
There are pioneers who open the way to build what we don't see but is yet to come.
For those who don't understand that heartbeat, let's do an experiment. An experiment within an experiment, as a wise friend would say.
When you finish reading this article, close your eyes and imagine...
If you walk around Shibarium, you'll see they don't just have a magazine. There are hundreds of them in the corner store; they don't compete. They nourish.
If you go around the corner, you’ll see dozens of workshops, engineering, AI, design stores…
Beyond the park, offices, educational centers, recreation areas… Job opportunities and decentralized certificate courses to open up new avenues of employment for those who cannot access these "officially centralized" certificates.
My frens started this. There they are as pioneers. Bad frens, ones who 3D-print emotions, ones who edit a community magazine, ones who provide ideas for a new world – dogs, cats, dragons, lions – those who don't compete. They don't fight. They just build. They are pioneers who know that behind them, thousands of similar projects will come because, if not, how sad it would be to be pioneers but alone, right?
And there we all are, not only the Shib Army that you see, but the ones that should come because you and I, we invited them.
Because you and I, we don't compete. We open up new avenues so that everything has space in Shibarium.
So that in Shibarium everything has meaning and purpose.
We've started building the foundation of the cities of the future, and they're not in the metaverse. They are in our hands.
