Created by pseudonymous figure Woof—also behind the DAMN token—WOW is rapidly gaining traction, offering a fair minting process and contributing to SHIB’s deflationary mechanics.

In an exclusive interview, Woof explained how WOW is shaping the meme coin ecosystem within Shibarium.

What Is the WOW Token?

Launched by pseudonymous creator Woof, the WOW token is a project designed to leverage the Shiba Inu ecosystem's capabilities, offering users a chance to mint tokens for free while paying a small BONE gas fee. Woof, who is also behind the DAMN token, emphasized that while he launched WOW, the project is decentralized and community-driven. “I launched it, but people are building the community,” Woof told The Shib. “I positioned WOW as a CTO token. I don’t manage WOW, but I will help WOW.”

The name "WOW" is inspired by the frequent use of the word by Elon Musk, a pop-culture reference that brings an additional layer of appeal to the token. Woof explained that the token’s minting process involves fair distribution, where anyone can participate as long as they pay the gas fee, which goes toward burning SHIB tokens.

How WOW Helps Shiba Inu and Shibarium

WOW’s primary role within the Shiba Inu ecosystem is to act as a meme coin that supports the network’s scalability while directly contributing to SHIB’s token-burning mechanism.

“WOW is a contract for free minting tokens. It allows users to get tokens through free minting with fair distribution. During the minting process, it consumes gas fee—BONE,” Woof explained. “Shibarium’s unique way of operation allows more gas fees to help burn SHIB.”

The free minting system allows users to mint WOW tokens without requiring significant upfront investment. Instead, users only need to cover the gas fees, which helps contribute to the deflationary process of SHIB.
