SHIB Partners with Welly: Shiba Inu Takes a Bite out of the Italian Fast-Food Scene

SHIBA INU has partnered with fast-food franchise Welly, transforming their eatery into a Shiba Inu wonderland, complete with fluffy Shiba decor and (soon) the ability to pay with SHIB.

Welly was officially founded in June 2021, with a store in Naples. In February 2022, they associated with the SHIB project. Since then they renovated their store and logo as well as hired a top chef, Flynn McGarry, who arrived with a new tasty menu.

Welly, a beloved fixture in the fast-food scene, is making waves as the first Web3 business built on Shibarium. The transformation comes on the heels of a meeting of minds in 2021 when Welly's founders, @‌gminerg, @stefanogugl, and @‌vincenzomaiett, united their skills in marketing and the restaurant industry.

Their crypto journey began when they met @‌pb5_five, a Web3 visionary, and the rest, as they say, is history. Since then, Welly has been on a rocket-like trajectory to success. The @‌katametron1 devs team, headed by @‌it_cico with Dario and Matteo, took care of the development.

Pawsitively Delicious: The First Shiba Inu-Themed Store in Naples, Italy

The Welly team is already cooking up exciting plans for the future. They just re-opened their store in Napoli with the new rebranding in October.

In early 2024, another store will be opened in Reggio Emilia, Italy. The next steps will be more openings in Italy, as well as initial tests in Europe and global tests with an opening in Texas (one of Welly's NFT holders will be the owner). With over 400 franchise requests flooding in, Welly is sifting through offers carefully. The fast-food franchise tells us they want to be acknowledged as the pioneers behind this technology.

Not only that, but Welly is all set to introduce an exciting new brand called “Welly Fresh,” which is dedicated to providing smart and speedy catering options.

Initially, they will begin with five vending machines and have plans to expand further into large-scale retail. The amazing thing about this auxiliary is that it embraces blockchain technology, which will guarantee advanced, secure, and transparent management of operations.

A (P)aw-some Partnership with Shib

But the real star of the show here is the partnership with SHIB. This collaboration was born from a shared vision of Web3's potential, and it's already been a game changer. Welly has undergone a total makeover, with the SHIB logo now front and center in its visual identity. Moreover, the restaurant’s blockchain technology will soon undergo real-life testing, allowing it to analyze and track supply chain data.

The transformation has not only attracted a fresh audience but also aligned the restaurant with the booming world of cryptocurrencies. For those wondering about the tech behind the magic, Shibarium is the chosen blockchain for Welly, offering blazing speed and cost-effective fees that make it a top pick for the restaurant's plans to integrate supply chain initiatives into the project.

A Woof-Tastic Future

Welly's Italian fast-food joint in Naples will be a Shiba Inu paradise. With franchise expansions, character revamps, and real-life blockchain testing in the pipeline, Welly is making a name for itself in the Web3 world. And their commitment to Shibarium is contributing to the growth of this innovative blockchain. So, why not treat yourself to some woof-tasty food next time you're in Naples? 🐕🍔💰

Welly's restaurant location: P.za Sannazaro, 4, 80122 Napoli NA, Italy

Crypto Survival Guide: Top 5 Strategies to Safeguard Against Scams

A crypto 101 guide for you so that you don't end up victims of rugpulls, hacks, and scams on the blockchain.

Welcome to the exciting yet precarious world of cryptocurrency, where fortunes can be made or lost in an instant. As digital assets captivate the interest of investors worldwide, they also catch the eye of deceitful scammers who prey on the unwary. Worry not as we unveil the quintessential guide to safeguarding your crypto assets, helping you navigate the treacherous waters of the digital frontier.

1. DO YOUR HOMEWORK.

Before diving into any cryptocurrency, DYOR (aka do your own research). Understand the project, its purpose, the team behind it, and what the community is saying. Knowledge is your best defense against scams.

Here's a resource guide from our friend @mark_murdock3:

2. STICK TO OFFICIAL SOURCES.

Always verify the URLs of “official” websites and social media channels. Be cautious of random messages or emails offering investment advice. Scammers often pose as trustworthy sources to trick investors. Never send your private information (seed phrase. private key, password…) to support services or influencers.

3. KEEP YOUR ASSETS SAFE.

Use a cold wallet to store your assets and NFTs and a hot wallet that will be used to interact with various dApps and websites. Never mix those so you can protect your assets from all kinds of attacks.

4. DON’T FALL FOR HYPE.

If an investment opportunity sounds too amazing and too easy, it’s likely a trap. Avoid investments that promise guaranteed profits overnight. Scammers often create a sense of urgency to rush you into a decision.

5. TRUST YOUR GUT.

If something feels off, it probably is. Listen to your instincts and take your time with decisions. Talk to experienced investors or financial advisors if you're unsure. Being cautious and patient can save you from falling into a scam.

As you strap on your virtual helmet and set sail into the thrilling cryptocurrency universe, keep in mind that your trusty companions on this adventure are none other than diligence and caution.

Stay one step ahead of scammers by following Shibarmy Scam Alerts on X for real-time updates on crypto scams so you can make vigilant and informed decisions.

Sam Altman's Vision: Between Tech and Internal Politics

A quick dive and update on one of the most famous AI inventors.

"AI will probably lead to the end of the world..." - Sam Altman

Quick Google Meet Calls Are Never a Good Thing!

The tech world was rocked by the sudden dismissal of Sam Altman, the co-founder and CEO of OpenAI, on November 17th. The board of OpenAI, in a rather cryptic announcement, stated that Altman’s termination was immediate and was the result of a review that found inconsistencies in his communication with the board, which they felt hindered their ability to fulfill their responsibilities.

Ilya Sutskever, Chief Scientist of OpenAI, reportedly broke the news to Altman via Google Meet, and the internet can’t get enough of the laughs over this irony.

The shockwaves of this decision reverberated through the organization, leading to the resignation of Greg Brockman, another co-founder of OpenAI. The entire board, except Brockman, was involved in the decision to let Altman go. Sutskever, who is believed to have played a key role in the ousting, addressed the employees, stating, “This was the board doing its duty to the mission of the nonprofit.”

After a roller-coaster weekend filled with speculations, theories, and other plot twists, including OpenAI investors pressuring the board to reinstate Altman as CEO, followed by OpenAI staff giving the entire board an ultimatum to resign or they would quit.

The latest news brings us a public confirmation by Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, stating that Altman and Brockman are joining a new AI research team at the giant tech corporation.

Sam had reportedly been pitching a separate startup to build custom, Nvidia-rivaling AI Tensor Processing Unit (TPU) chips. The TPU project was codenamed “Tigris,” attracting a number of prominent venture firms and even interest from Microsoft.

On the OpenAI side of things, Twitch co-founder Emmett Shear was appointed as the new interim CEO.

Will it be the comeback of the decade for Bing and Sydney?

Teh TLDR on Sam Altman:

  • His assertion that AGI could potentially possess the intelligence level of a "median human" has sparked both fascination and concern within the tech community and beyond.
  • Altman's bold proclamations, including his vision of AGI seamlessly performing tasks traditionally reserved for human workers, have raised questions about the future of labor and the role of technology in society.

Altman's optimistic outlook on AGI's capabilities is not new. In a 2022 interview on the Lex Fridman Podcast, he elaborated on the potential of AGI, envisioning a future where this advanced AI could perform a wide array of complex tasks, from medical diagnoses to proficient coding. This portrayal of AGI as a versatile and competent co-worker underscores Altman's belief in the transformative power of technology and its capacity to revolutionize various industries.

However, the implications of Altman's assertions are not without their complexities. The use of the term "median" in Altman's description introduces a level of ambiguity, leaving room for interpretation and speculation.

The Problem:

Defining what constitutes a "median human" in terms of intelligence and capabilities is a complex and subjective task. As our world becomes increasingly diverse and multifaceted, quantifying the human experience in this manner may appear half-baked.

Think about it: What about creativity, empathy, and other unique traits that define our humanity but might not conform to a quantifiable standard of "median"?

Moreover, Altman's vision hints at the possibility of a future where certain professions and industries might become increasingly automated, leading to potential job displacement and the reconfiguration of the labor landscape.

While the integration of AGI could undoubtedly streamline operations and increase productivity, it also brings to the forefront critical socio-economic challenges, including the need for reskilling and upskilling the workforce to adapt to an evolving technological landscape.

What Is AGI?

AGI, also known as "strong AI" or "full AI," is like the Superman of artificial intelligence. It's designed to have cognitive abilities just like humans. Unlike other AI forms that are great at specific tasks, AGI is expected to be a total all-rounder. It can handle multiple cognitive functions, learn new things, and adapt seamlessly to different areas.

The endgame for AGI is to mimic human intelligence so well that it can grasp, learn, and ace any intellectual challenge a human can tackle.

Exciting stuff, right? Well, not really, because one big problem with AGI is that it could take away jobs from people.

As AGIs become integrated into various industries, there is a risk that workers may lose their jobs as these intelligent machines can perform tasks efficiently. Therefore, reskilling and upskilling have become increasingly crucial in today's technological world where machines are replacing human labor.

Although the developments in AGI bring excitement, it is important to approach its impact on employment with vigilance and prioritize the continuous development of skills to stay competitive in an increasingly automated world.

P.S. Sam Altman's vision for AGI has us all wondering: Will we be saying "Hello, Human Resources" or "Hello, HAL 9000" in the future?
