AIRian’s Marathon Marvel: Setting the Bar for Running Excellence

A much-anticipated annual marathon recently concluded, showcasing the unmatched running prowess of its participants. A huge part of this yearly race is AIRian, a Web3-based running project. In collaboration with the Dong-A Media Group, a very influential group of South Korean news and media companies, a community of global runners has united to dominate the event which takes place every year in the capital and largest metropolis in South Korea: Seoul.
1931: Where It All Began
Officially known as the Seoul Dong-A Marathon, the Seoul International Marathon, or simply Seoul Marathon, was established in 1931. It holds the prestigious title of being an IAAF Platinum Label road race, making it a highly respected event in the running world. It’s also the second oldest marathon in the entire world, just behind the Boston Marathon.
Dubbed “The Miracle in the Han River,” the Seoul International Marathon winds through key landmarks of Korea's modern history. Starting at Gwanghwamun Plaza, it passes by the city hall and the reconstructed Cheong-Gye-Cheon stream before concluding at the Jamsil Olympic Stadium.
Last year, Adidas was one of the race’s sponsors, and they shared some highlights in this awe-inspiring event film.
Seoul Marathon IP by Dong-A Media Group
The intellectual property rights of the marathon are owned by the Dong-A Media Group, a luxury media group founded in 1920 which manages a wide range of publishing, broadcasting, and digital media ventures. These include Sports Dong-A, DUNet, Dong-A Science, and Dong-A.com.
A strategic alliance with Dong-A.com has equipped AIRian to bring a multitude of running and marathon events onto Dong-A’s various premium running events, including Seoul Marathon and all the other 16 running IPs.
Enter AIRian: Bringing Web3 to the Fore
AIRian CEO Jay Chung outlined the distinct roles of both AIRian and the Dong-A Media Group for The Shib. The media giant offers support for the Web2 functionalities of the Seoul Marathon IP, while AIRian adds its expertise in Web3 technologies.

This augmentation of liquidity is not a mere enhancement; it's a strategic move poised to potentially elevate the value of BONE, Shibarium's designated gas fee token, by stimulating trading volume across the platform.
Marswap's founder further disclosed that the Marswap Aggregator is only available on Shibarium (for now) and it is readily accessible at no cost to all its users. For those outside the Shibarium user base, engagement with the Marswap Aggregator remains possible through the acquisition of a white label. Although the pricing strategy for this offering is still under consideration, it represents a thoughtful extension of the project's reach.
Looking ahead, Cawrey shared that Marswap Aggregator is planned to be integrated into ShibaSwap 2's liquidity pools when the latest version goes live, promising an even broader scope of functionality. Seamless Integration, Strategic Collaboration and Another Revolutionary Tool

During the interview, Cawrey revealed an exciting development in their quest to enhance Shibarium's accessibility and utility: a partnership with DexTools, a titan in the decentralized finance space renowned for its comprehensive trading app.
This collaboration aims to integrate the Marswap Aggregator's API onto the DexTools platform, marking a significant milestone as DexTools has not previously supported Shibarium trades, primarily due to the absence of a Shibarium-specific aggregator.
Cawrey explained, "DexTools currently leverages the KyberSwap Aggregator to facilitate purchases directly from its platform for other chains. Our collaboration with the DexTools development team to incorporate the Marswap Aggregator API is a pivotal step toward enabling direct trades on Shibarium through DexTools."
This is quite promising since if this pushes through, it would catalyze a wider adoption of Shibarium by streamlining the trading process and enhancing the platform's visibility within the broader DeFi community.
Moreover, Marswap's innovation spree continues with the launch of the 404 token creator for Shibarium. This tool is a game-changer, particularly for those without technical prowess, allowing them to create their own 404 tokens seamlessly. Cawrey touted this as a crucial innovation, lowering the barriers to token creation and fostering a more inclusive Shibarium ecosystem. This week, Marswap is launching the all-new Crolon Mars 404.

Launched on March 6, Shib Names have garnered significant attention and adoption from the Shib Army, demonstrating a fervent interest in innovative Web3 solutions.
Overwhelming Demand and Community Enthusiasm
From the outset, the demand for Shib Names surpassed expectations. Thousands of registrations poured in from the Shib Army, highlighting their eagerness to embrace innovative Web3 solutions and their faith in the continuous development of the Shib ecosystem.
"Demand for these names underscores the Shib Army’s appetite for cutting-edge Web3 solutions and its trust in the Shib ecosystem's continuous evolution," the D3 team told The Shib.
Premium Names: A Coveted Commodity
One notable trend from the launch of early access to Shib Names is the community's preference for premium names. While standard names are available at $10 per name per year, premium names, including popular terms like first names, surnames, and dictionary words, have seen a substantial uptake despite their higher price point starting at $50 per name.
The most coveted names included "my✱shib" which sold for a staggering $2,000. Additionally, users were quick to secure short, catchy names like "toy✱shib," "fun✱shib," and "job✱shib," alongside longer options like "party✱shib," "grail✱shib," and "cannabis✱shib." Interestingly, the registrations weren't limited to just words. Many users opted to personalize their identities by registering their own names, such as "chad✱shib" or "megan✱shib."
Looking Ahead: Public Launch and Marketplace
The success of the early access launch is merely the first chapter. Public access to Shib Names is scheduled for March 26, followed by the launch of the D3 Marketplace. This marketplace will allow users to buy, sell, and make offers on Shib Names, facilitating the acquisition of those coveted "grail" names.
